On Monday Sept. 7th (Labor Day) the office will be closed.
Sunday September 13 – Children’s activities. Church School will resume on September 20th at 9:45 but on the Sunday before, September 13th at 9:45, there will be a Children’s Activities and Get-Together Morning to renew friendships and say hello to your teachers. Please join us!
Our next fundraiser is the Roast Turkey Dinner, “Thanksgiving in September” with all the fixin’s (stuffing, cranberry sauce, mashed potatoes and gravy, mixed veggie medley). If you would like to contribute food or funds there will be a sign-up sheet for the necessities. If you can come to work (set-up, serving, clean-up, etc.) your participation will be very much appreciated. Speak with Chuck or Marcia Eaton. Or, come to eat, bring a friend!
The 2nd Annual Pumpkin Fest will be held on Saturday, October 3rd from 9-3 p.m. and Sunday, October 4th from 12-4 p.m. At 2 p.m. on Sunday October 4th we will hold the annual Blessing of the Animals service to celebrate St. Francis of Assisi patron saint of animals on his special day. Bring your animals, large and small, to this lovely service in the Memorial Garden at Saint Peter’s. We will also be collecting pet related items (cat food, dog food, litter, towels, etc.) to be donated to local animal shelters. If anyone would like to have a pet’s ashes interred in the memorial garden in the section devoted to animals, please bring them at that time and Fr. Perry will be happy to commemorate and bless them as well.

St. Peter’s has a new website!
Same location, great new look. The new site offers an always up to date calendar, upcoming events listed with details, news from Sue, the bulletin, the latest happenings, an updated photo gallery, and more! All with a sharp new design that looks great on a desktop computer, tablet, or smart phone.
Memorial Garden — Group Weeding!!– The Weekly Weeders are hard at work keeping the weeds at bay in the Memorial Garden and around the church. Come join us! We meet every Monday evening from 6:30 to 7:20. We do what we can in 50 minutes and close up shop at 7:30. Then we usually stick around and chat for a while – very nice! Bring your gardening gloves and whatever tools you normally use to weed like clippers, trowels, scratchers, rakes, etc., as well as a hat and bug spray. We have extra tools if you need them. It’s a nice way to get outside, visit with friends, and keep our garden looking beautiful!
