Join us for all of our worship services during Holy Week and Easter – Details may be found elsewhere in this bulletin and on line at www.stpetershebron.comThere are sign-ups in the church for anyone willing to serve as a reader, officiant (leader of the service) or chalice bearer (for services of Holy Eucharist). Please call Father Perry if you have any questions.

In addition, we hope you will choose to sign up to be part of one of these three events!!!

Maundy Thursday Evening Agape Meal on March 24 beginning at 6:30 p.m.

This is a pot-luck meal that reflects the meals shared by early Christians who would bring a variety of foods to worship for blessing. This provided a meal which all who attended enjoyed and the “left-overs” were taken to prisoners and those in need in their communities. It is traditional to offer this meal during Holy Week. Participants are asked to bring three things to our gathering. 1) a donation of food for the meal (see below); 2) an offering of food or money to be donated to HIHS; 3) bring a guest to join our celebration! Appropriate foods for the meal itself, which is to be meatless and sparse, include: olives, dried fruit, vegetables, cheese, bread or crackers, wine or juice. Soup will be provided.  Sign-up on the form found in the church or by calling the office!

Note: Near the end of the meal Father Perry will lead a devotional that will lead into the Foot-washing Ceremony held in Phelps’ Hall beginning at 7:30 p.m.. At its conclusion the gathering will move to the church for the traditional Maundy Thursday Liturgy.

Prayer Vigil: from 9:00 p.m. Thursday March 24 through 11:00 a.m. Friday March 25

Come, watch and pray with us as we wait through the night in reflection on the sacred events that we remember this week. The church will be open during these hours for folks to come to church (or do so from the privacy of your homes) to “keep watch” as we enter Good Friday. Anyone planning to participate is asked to sign up on the form in the church or by calling the church office.  For security reasons we need to know who is planning to attend so that we might insure the safety of folks while having a continuous time of prayer during this 14 hour period.
